Jose Contreras
Dental Hygienist

Jose is a registered dental hygienist in both Florida and New York. He studied Dentistry in the Dominican Republic at UNIBE in Santo Domingo and studied Dental Hygiene with a focus in cosmetic dentistry at City University of New York. He and his spouse then moved to the South Florida area as they have been in love with it for many years. His favorite hobby is traveling around the world, having been throughout Asia, South America, Northern Africa, Europe, and much of the Caribbean. He also enjoys snow skiing, scuba diving, and most importantly spending time with friends and family.

His goal, every day, is to help his patients learn better hygiene practices and overcome their fears. He wants to help them feel better about their smiles overall, which has a large impact on one’s self-image.

Christina Salazar
Dental Assistant

Christina Salazar is a Miami native who has been working in this industry for over 10 years. What she likes most about her job, is caring for patients and working side by side with the doctors, here at Coconut Grove Dental.

She enjoys coming in every day and expresses that it feels like a family with the fun, loving, and warm environment. Fun Fact; in her leisure time, she enjoys various outdoor activities.

Florencia M. Palma
Patient Coordinator

Florencia M. Palma was born in Argentina. She has been working in this industry for the last 2 years but has been working in the customer services industry since she was 16 years old. She is currently studying to become a Hygienist because she loves dentistry and to provide care to patients.

What she enjoys most about working here, at Coconut Grove Dental, is that she feels she is able to establish a more personal connection with patients; due to the individualized attention the office provides to its patients. Fun Fact; in her leisure time, she loves anything that involves fitness and health.
